Beauty Treats Indonesia May Box: Back to Basic

I guess it's too late to post about Beauty Treats' May Box at this time of the month but I'm going to do it anyway just because I already photographed the box once I received it. Hahaha. I was just too lazy to move the photos from the camera to my laptop and edit them.
The box's theme for this month is Back to Basic. They say, "in order for you all to enjoy your beauty, make sure your skin and hair is clean, moist, and protected against the cruel, hot, and in some cases, polluted air in Indonesia". I think that explains the amount of grooming items in the box. Without further due, let's start!

The box with the booklet and a thank you card

Some vouchers and flyers

Hada Labo Shirojyun (Ultimate Whitening) Face Wash and Lotion; Skin Aqua UV Series

Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum, Olga Lydia Fake Lashes

Acnes Pore Strip, Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural, Lioele 3d Lifting Mask, Face on Face Nourishing Blush, Caring Colours BB Cream

Each of Caring Colours BB Creams are available! I can try them all and find which one I like the best.

Full size hair serum!

I think for IDR95,000 this box is not bad at all! This month's box is even better that the first one in my opinion. The April box is not bad, but this month's box is really nice! Lipstick and blusher are my favourite makeup items and I got both of them in this box. My hair recently becomes very dry on the ends and starts to split so hair serum is totally what I need. :D
Can't wait to receive my next boxes! Yes I'll be receiving more than one box in June because I've subscribed to the Gold box AND the Platinum box. I'm very curious what kind of items I'll get in my Platinum box since Beauty Treats said that it'll be filled with higher end brands.
Do you subscribe to any of beauty box subscription? Do you like it? Let me know! :)

So yes, I won a contest that was held by Clozette Daily and Mango. I won a voucher worth 2 million rupiah :D
Screen captured below is one of my entry that made it to the front page of Clozette Daily. Uhm, that far left photo under the title 'MANGO Style Up Yourself Contest'. The layout of Clozette Daily cuts the photo lol it wasn't my fault :p I was so surprised  when I saw this. Anyways I posted the outfit on this blog too. Click here to see the blog post.

To see all of my entries, you can click here, there, right here, and right there. Hanzky (the CEO of Female Daily Network) actually likes one of my entries! I'm so happyyyy because I like her style! One of the ladies in Female Daily Network named Marcie also likes one of my photos and I like Marcie's style a lot! *dance*

And because the voucher only valid for this month, I went to Mango last week with my sister to shop! I bought her a blouse because she's the one who took my photos and did my makeup :3
Shopping bag! :D

First react after I watched the video: OMG SO SASSY!
Second react: I think I watched too many grav3yardgirl's video hahaha (if you watch grav3yardgirl's video you'll know what I'm talking about)

Anyway this looks easy! I want to try but I don't know where to get that kind of mold. I mean I can't use Looney Tunes mold, I have to look for that kind of mold.. The baroque, Victorian-esque mold. I hope I can find one!

MAC Immortal Flower on the left (or bottom, however you see it) and theBalm Frat Boy on the right (or top, however you see it)
Currently I'm kinda attracted to makeups especially blushers and lipsticks. To be honest it's because lipstick and blush are decorative things I can use lol. I'm not pro in makeup at all. So the things I've been collecting these past months are blushes and lipsticks. In this post I'll talk about my go-to blushes.
I gravitate towards peach or pinky peach blushes. I don't know why. I like the colour on the pan, I like it on my cheeks, and I feel like I wanna buy them all but it can be too repetitive if I buy them all so I buy some other colours too.

The first one is by MAC and it's called Immortal Flower. I believe it's a limited edition blush. I didn't get it on the counter. I bought it from fellow FD-er. She said she used it about 3 times and sold it for about $25. This is the priciest blush I ever bought. I know $25 is the retail price in the US back in the time the blush was available on the counter. But in Indonesia, MAC blushes retails for about $33 so I think $25 is not super bad for lightly used blush. It looks milky orange on the pan but magically it shows different colour on the skin. As you can see in the picture above, it's sheer peach colour. Actually it's very sheer when I first received the blush so I scrape the top of it and it becomes more vibrant (but still sheer). Because of the sheerness I don't have to be afraid that it'll make me look clownish. I really like how the blush compliments my skin colour very well. My friends once thought it was my natural cheek colour hahaha.

The second one is by The Balm. This blush called Frat Boy. Indonesians are not very familiar with this brand yet because there aren't many The Balm counter here but thanks to Female Daily forum and Youtube, I'm able to know this brand. I bought this blush through a fellow FD-er too! I bought it for about $16.
The colour is redder and more pigmented if compared to Immortal Flower but it's still very wearable. I only need a few swipe of this blush and blend it a bit to have it show up on my cheeks. I have to be a bit careful with this one because of the "more pigmented" factor. The package says that you can use this blush as a shadow (eye shadow) too but I never tried it. I can't use eye shadows so just let it be a blush for me.
Oh I forgot to tell you something, this blush is incredibly big. It's 8.5 gram of blush here in the pan. The MAC one contains 6 gram of product. I don't know how to use this up lol. Seriously. I only need a bit of this and yet it contains so much product. Well actually I don't know how to use up any of the makeup I own :p

PS: because I'm currently into makeups, there might be some makeup posts coming soon. ;)

..or I should say nail of the week because usually I wear my nail polish for about a week. :P
I just bought this polish and I can't wait to wear it. It's from Katy Perry for OPI collection. The shade called Not Like the Movies. It's really hard to capture the color because it's kinda duo-chrome. It's a beautiful grey-green shade. The color looks like more grey but there's also some green.
The polish is thin and dries fast. It's sheer and need to be built at least with three coats to make it opaque. I used two coats but it's not opaque enough. I think this shade is very nice for evening parties. It feels glamorous without being over the top. I'll definitely use this to the next girls night out or wedding reception.

So these are some of the things I got from last month. Most of them are Elf and a blush from
Maybe some of you know, especially US citizen, that Elf did a 50% off of all of their Studio line products a few weeks ago. So I purchased some things through Female Daily Forum's Beauty Warehouse since I can't order it by myself.
I also ordered Hard Candy's blush from I ordered them just because it looks so cute, hahaha and it's affordable too. I think I already have too many blushes but I don't care :p

Here are the things I got:
- Elf Blush in Tickled Pink (This is actually smaller than I thought they would be. But it doesn't matter. I actually like it this small so maybe I can use it all up! I have big blushes and I use them almost everyday but there's not even a dent. I don't know how long those things will last. I get bored easily so I don't know if I can finish them or not.)
- Elf Matte Lip Color in Natural, Coral, and Rich Red (I thought they're smaller! Very good deal!)
- Elf Eyebrow Kit in Medium
- Hard Candy Fox In a Box in Spicy and Sweet
- Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy Perfume Vial
- DKNY Pure Perfume Vial
- Cartier Baiser Vole Perfume Vial
- Philosophy Living Grace Perfume Vial
- DKNY Be Delicious Perfume Vial

I believe perfume vials are supposed to be given free by the company to the customers so customers can see if they like it or not. But here in Indonesia, we don't get vials easily. We have to buy them from online shops. I don't know if there's any store in Jakarta (or Indonesia) that provides perfume vials. They're not expensive or what  (I bought them about $1,5 each) but it's sad that we have to buy things that are supposedly free.

I don't know is there anything wrong with my shoulder or what but all thin metal strap bags can't stay on my shoulder for more than 30 seconds. The strap always slips so most of the time I just carry that kind of bag as clutch. Or if possible I use it as cross-body bag. Is it just me or you guys have the same problem too? Please tell me I'm not alone. ;)
