Rant: Beauty Treats Indonesia June Box

It's July 2nd and I haven't received by June Box. Ok I don't know where to start. I've seen others boxes and I know what's in this month's box. I won't complain about the content although it was kinda disappointing. I'm upset because of their unprofessional and not transparent management and customer service. 

So it started back in the middle of June when they said that they have problem with their magazine so they have to reprint all of the magazines and that needs a few days. I was still okay with that although I actually think, "Don't need to reprint, just send the box already. I don't need the magazine." I mean the magazine's content is just the same with things they share on facebook and their website. I can read what I need on their website. But I think well yeah whatever, because they say that they will send the box at the end of the week. In fact, the boxes were shipped June 24th, which is not at the end of the week. I was like, hmmmm, okaaay. Beauty Treats boxes were shipped from Jakarta. I'm a hardcore online shopper so I know it usually takes 2 days to get to my office. Even packages from Makassar or Surabaya need at most 4 days. But as you can tell by now, I haven't got my Beauty Treats box. It's been more that 7 days for god's sake! And I can't ask for my box' tracking number because BTI said that they sent so many box and there's no way for them to have the box's tracking numbers. So I can't contact the courier company to ask about my box because I don't know the tracking number. Wtf.

Another thing that annoys me is Beauty Treats said that there will be 100 surprise gift for first 100 June box subscribers. I've extended my subscription for 3 months since May box so I guess I'm one of the 100 lucky winners or at least I have the chance to be one of them. But you know what? BTI says that person like me (who subscribed for 3 months since May) is not included. Those hundred people are the ones that subscribed after BTI posted the announcement. I was like whaaaat. Then why should I subscribe for longer period?! I mean people who subscribed for longer periods are considered more loyal, don't you think? No gifts for loyal customer, eh? Just so you know, up to this second, there's no one claimed that he/she gets the 'gift'. BTI said the gift was Sleek eye shadow palette, by the way. 

The customer service is also not consistent about the promo they're offering. I started to think that they lied about their promos. Sometime ago they say that there will be 50 lucky subscribers that will get something extra in their boxes. This promo is different with the 100 lucky winners I tell earlier. Nobody ever said that they receive something extra and BTI also never mentioned about that promo again nor tell people what's the extra thing.

If I can ask for refund, I'll ask for refund right now.

  1. What the hell with that online shop? every shop will have the serial number for each box sent. It will help the customer to ask whether it takes too long to arrived. I think you shouldn't shop there ever again. They're liars.
